¹¹ David was king over Israel for forty years. He was king in Hebron for seven years, and he was king in Jerusalem for thirty-three years.

¹² Solomon was seated on the throne of his father David, and his kingship was firmly established.

¹³ Adonijah son of Haggith came to Solomon’s mother Bathsheba. She said to him, “Do you come in peace?”
